Why you should get a car insurance estimate every year?
Filed Under Compare Car Insurance Online | Comments Off
When was the last time you shop for car insurance? A year ago, two, five or never? If you don’t go around and get a car insurance estimate every year you are simply leaving money on the table. A lot of people never compare car insurance estimates simply because they don’t care, they forget about it or are comfortable with their current policy and are afraid to make any changes. Some people will never shop around because of family reason; a brother, sister or one of the in law is an insurance agent and they feel they should do business with them because they think they get a special “deal”. The reality is you should always shop for car insurance every year because car insurance, like any type of insurance, is in constant evolution. Let’s look at the factors that will influence the rate of your insurance policy. To name a few:
- Area / State where you live in
- Age
- Sex
- Type of vehicle
- Driving record
- Deductible
- Coverage
Depending which State you live in, you may pay more or less for car insurance. For instance, if you live in a high crime area, your car insurance premium will be more expensive than someone that live in a low crime area.
Age will also influence how much you will pay for auto insurance. If you are a teenager and have zero driving experience you will pay more for car insurance.
As strange as it may seem, whether you are a male or a female will also influence the price of your insurance policy. For example, a female between 16-25 year old will pay less than a male of the same age simply because of past statistics that showed better driving habits for that age spread.
If you drive a Porsche 911, you will pay more for car insurance than someone that own a Pontiac Cavalier simply because of the value of the vehicle.
An important factor that influence the price of your insurance premiums will be your driving record. If you had several accidents and you were found at fault, your premiums will sky rocket. Some insurance companies might even refuse to insure you because of that. On the other hand if you have a perfect driving record, your premiums will be much lower and if you search online for car insurance quotes, insurance agents will bend over backward to get your business. So in short, it pays to be a good driver!
Another factor that will influence the price of your car insurance policy is the deductible amount. If you are not sure what “deductible” is it’s the amount you are willing to pay if an accident happen. For example, if you have an accident and the damages are evaluated at $5000 and your deductible is $500 your insurance company will issue a check for $4500 and you will pay $500. Having said that the higher the deductible, the lower your premiums will be.
The last but the most important factor that will influence your auto insurance rate is the “coverage”. Choosing the lowest coverage will be probably cheaper but it could lead to financial disaster if you get into an accident. Just imagine if the accident you are involved in is all your fault and that the people in the other car decide to sue you for a lot more than you insurance coverage, who will pay for that…well in short YOU.
To conclude, if you want to make sure you always get the best car insurance policy possible one should always compare car insurance estimates every year. There are websites that will offer for free to compare rates from 5 different reputable insurance companies in your area just by submitting your zip code. You will have to submit some information like the the type of vehicle you want insured, year and model, your driving history, distance to work, the State you live in, your age, sex, deductible and coverage. The whole process should not take more than 8 minutes if you have all the info on hand when filling up the form. If you don’t then you simply making some insurance agent very happy!

Anyone know of a great credit card or a website that compares the best ones?
Filed Under Compare Car Insurance Online | 4 Comments
I have good to great credit, but my current card has me at 28% interest. Probably because I was careless about paying on time years ago, but there have been no lates on my credit report for the past 4 years. I pay it off completely within the 25 days 99% of the time, but last month I couldn’t and I got burned. I asked them if a lower rate was available, they told me no.
So I’m definitely going to close this one out at the end of the month and look for another one. I really only use it to shop online (I’d rather use my debit card day to day), or for a couple of things like car insurance that I have to tie to a credit card. I’m looking for a low interest, no annual fee, gold card that covers car rentals and would like some type of awards program but can live without that. Thanks for any advice.

I am about to buy a new car and need to get insurance. I want to compare rates online, but I do not know all of the dates that I had speeding tickets or how many. Is there a way to find out this information so my quote can be more accurate?

i tell them how i feel all the time and that im growing up and changing, and they always get super offended when i hint at them being wrong, and yell at me and punish me. with stupid little punishments like “going to my room” im not 6 years old………… come on
1 hour ago
with my girlfriend they always say they like her but like they always have to limit my time with her. she never feels welcome in my house. however my parents are always mad that i hang at her place more than at our house. isnt it normal for the boy to hang at the girls house more??
my girlfriend is also a Christan and we have been dating for a year now. and they only let us hang 2 times a week and we are both homeschooled and we want to be able to study together but we never can. because we only get 2 days if we are lucky because we both have jobs. and my parents always say that i spend to much time with her. but i hardly see her compared to must relationships…..
i am the middle child. my brother is 19 and does college online and lives at home still.. (we share a room) i never get any space. and he trashes the room all the time. he doesn’t seams to care about me. or have time to even talk to me because he works 50 hours a week. and then i have the worlds most amazing little sister she is 15 almost. my parents don’t seam to even care that i want my own room. and they are always helping my brother out of jams…
my parnets are also vary controlling on what i do with my money…. they don’t really tell me how to spend it but they make sure that i always document my spending which is good but im in 11th grade.. i have lots of stuff on my mind and i dont need to document my whole life…… my parents also dont think i work enough and i work 20 hours a week and i pay for my own cell phone, car insurance, i bought my own car. i buy my own cloths they never give me money for anything. but then they yell at me for having no money

The next cheap one I am getting is from autonet and is bout 60 GBPs more – wudn’t mind 60 GBPs if they are any better than Likewise – if someone knows pls?
Any help will be appreciated.

If we really have “Gender Equality”, why should us guys have to pay more for Car Insurance than women?
Filed Under Compare Car Insurance Online | 20 Comments
Could you imagine if it were the other way around, and women had to pay higher rates than men?
There’d probably be legislation in Congress to stop it as we speak!!!
I’m comparing auto quotes online, and it’s ridiculous how much a 21 year old guy (me) has to pay just for my demographics.
@Colby: But Obama, our first Female president, is about to change that…
